After delivering the 12-storey building (base build) of the Kings Square Tower 2 for Leighton Properties Pty Limited, Broad Construction commenced the fit-out of Shell’s new Australian headquarters in May 2015, with the office encompassing 19,500 square metres of floor space.
Throughout the project, Broad Construction coordinated all aspects, including safety, quality and environmental management. The finished project provided Shell with a turn-key commercial office fit-out.
The project team was heavily involved in a WorkSafe Plan assessment that contributed to Broad Construction receiving the Platinum Certificate of Achievement - the first company to achieve a 100 per cent score since the plan began in 1994.
In addition, the number of hours worked on the project totalled over 200,000 and during this period Broad Construction recorded no lost time injuries.
As part of a continued commitment to recognising and rewarding exemplary practices, Broad Construction awarded safety and quality awards to subcontractors each month throughout the project.
This consistent performance and positive outcome are the results of a collaborative effort across our team, everyone working together to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our colleagues, partners and subcontractors.
